This programme is designed to support individuals working towards qualification as a driving instructor through the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
It provides a structured training pathway covering the knowledge, skills, and preparation required for the ADI qualification process (Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3).
2. What You Are Purchasing
By enrolling, you are purchasing access to a structured training programme which includes:
- Guided learning materials and training content
- A structured step-by-step training pathway
- Primarily online training, supported by practical development elements
- Ongoing support and guidance throughout your training journey
The Programme is delivered primarily as a digital training product.
This programme is designed to prepare you for the DVSA qualifying process but does not itself constitute DVSA testing or certification.
3. DVSA Tests & External Services
- All DVSA tests are conducted by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency
- Test availability, waiting times, and locations are outside our control
- DVSA fees are not included unless explicitly stated
We cannot guarantee test dates or waiting times.
4. In-Car Training & Practical Development
In-car training is provided as part of the overall training programme to support your development and preparation for the ADI qualification process.
- For Part 2, this includes practical driving development to prepare for the driving ability test
- For Part 3, practical development is delivered through a combination of structured preparation and real-world teaching experience
Some elements of in-car development may take place while teaching real pupils during the trainee licence (PDI) stage, where applicable.
In-car training is delivered at appropriate stages of the programme and may not be available immediately upon enrolment.
Progression to practical training stages is subject to:
- Completion of required training modules and coursework
- Attendance at scheduled sessions
- Assessment of readiness by the training team
The structure, timing, and amount of in-car training may vary depending on individual progress, engagement, and availability.
In-car training is not provided as a fixed or standalone element and forms part of the overall progression-based Programme.
5. What Is Not Guaranteed
To ensure full clarity before purchase:
- Passing any DVSA test is not guaranteed
- Qualification as a driving instructor is not guaranteed
- Timescales for qualification are not guaranteed
- Test dates and availability are not guaranteed
- Employment, pupil supply, or earnings are not guaranteed
6. Instructor Support Programme (Optional)
Instructor College UK may offer trainees the opportunity to progress into an instructor support programme.
This may include:
- Access to real pupils
- Ongoing mentoring and development
- Business systems and operational support
These opportunities:
- Are not included within the standard training package
- Are not guaranteed
- Are subject to suitability, availability, and a separate agreement
7. Your Commitment
To get the most from this programme, you will be expected to:
- Complete all required study and training modules
- Attend scheduled sessions where applicable
- Engage fully with the training process
- Take responsibility for your own progress
Your results will depend on your effort, engagement, and ability.
8. Timescales
The time required to qualify varies between individuals and depends on:
- Personal availability
- Learning pace
- DVSA test availability
No specific qualification timeframe is guaranteed.
9. Refunds & Cooling-Off Period
You have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of purchase.
If you choose to access digital training materials or begin the training programme within this period, you acknowledge that:
- Your right to a full refund may be reduced or lost
- Reasonable deductions may be made for training and materials provided
